Green Connect Limited, set up to bring together professionals and volunteers involved in managing and caring for green spaces in the region, has been joined by Quadron Services Limited based in Weston Super Mare.
Said Green Connect’s Director, Karen Hughes:
“I am passionate about the value of our parks and green spaces both in our towns and in the countryside. I want to make sure that those of us who work and volunteer in them can learn from each other sharing information, problems and solutions right across the region.
“Whilst every green space is different, there are many shared issues and discussing a problem with others can help to provide ideas for moving forward.
“I have worked hard for the last few months to set up this company and make sure that it will provide a great resource for people in the South West whether they are involved in a formal historic park or a wild nature reserve; all green spaces play a vital part in our lives and the environment we live in, keeping us healthy and happy.”
Quadron’s Managing Director, Clive Ivil said:
“Quadron prides itself on “Cultivating Sustainable Green Communities”. We are pleased to become part of Green Connect because it will assist us in doing just that: ensuring we interact with the communities whose green spaces we manage, to work together towards a sustainable future. We fully support Karen in setting up this new venture and look forward to connecting and sharing experiences with other Supporters.”
Green Connect Ltd. will be providing information, training and facilitating networking and joint working so that its Supporters can easily share good practice, ideas, knowledge and resources. To find out more about how to become a Supporter go to http://green-connect.weebly.com/
